The project took nearly a year to complete, costing well over $100 million total. But despite the hefty price tag, it created jobs and economic benefits.
“Create approximately $184 million in revenue, and during peak construction we had approximately 540 men on site,” said Sun Edison Assistant Project Manager Chris Wall.
The project will also help improve air quality.
“This will eliminate approximately 120 metric tons of CO2 in the air,” said Wall.
That amount is equal to removing 25,224 cars on the road per year.
